Charles William Argentine, 88, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Saturday May 16, 2026, in the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville.

Charlie was born to William and Anne (Swartz) Argentine on May 27, 1937, in Toronto, OH.

He was a 1955 graduate of Toronto High School, a United States Navy Veteran, and an electrician at Titanium Metals Corp. in Toronto for 38 years.

Charlie was an avid hunter, fisherman, and collector. He was a member of St. Francis R.C. Church, the Toronto American Legion Post #86, and Steubenville Rifle and Pistol Club.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his sisters, Delores “DoDo” Graceffa, Carolyn “Gabber” Byers, and twin sisters, Shirley Long and Charmayne Doyle.

He is survived by his wife, Frances “Sandy” (Moses) Argentine; his children, Charles Jr. (Nancy), Timothy, Todd (Sandy), Mark (Cheryl) Walker, Kathy (Charles) Shivers, and Steve Walker; his brother, Larry (Debbie) Argentine; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 21, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral in Toronto, OH. Services will be held on Friday at 11 am, with Father Thomas Vennitti, and burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard.
