Charles E. Benton, 81, of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in the Laurels Nursing and Care Center of Steubenville, OH. Charles was born July 1, 1932 in Industry, PA, son of the late Walter and Blanche Johnson Benton.He was Nazarene by faith and was retired from Titanium Metals Corp., in Toronto.In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen 'Kay' (Lewis) Benton, daughter Sherri Peckens, brother Alfred 'Buster' Benton and his sister Hilda Benton.Charles leaves behind his son, James 'Jim' (Carla) Benton of Richmond, OH; his three daughters, Ronda (Jim) Scott of Groveport, OH, Joyce Benton of Toronto and Sheryl (Kevin) Huggans of Brilliant, OH; one sister Luella Larson of LaPine, AL; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 13 at 2 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto with Rev. Robert Carson officiating. Friends and family will gather from 1 ' 2 pm for memorial visitation prior to the service at 2 pm.
