Charles O. Cole, 95, of Harbor Court in Rocky River, OH, formerly of Smithfield, OH, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 in the St. John Medical Center in Westlake, OH.Charles was born October 9, 1916 in Wayne Township, OH, son of the late John Oscar and Mini (Gwynn) Cole.Charles was a member of the Smithfield Christian Church, Past Master of Smithfield Masonic Lodge # 182, Valley of Scottish Rite, Labelle Chapter #414 of Order of Eastern Star, Smithfield Senior Citizens and the Smithfield Lions Club. Charles was a student and graduate of Mt. Moriah Grade School and Wayne High School; he was retired from the Timet Corp. in Toronto, OH and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Grace Francis Cole who passed in 1988; hewas the last of his generation of dear brothers, Dean, Everett and Glen Cole and his dear sisters, Ethel Cole Dodds and Florence Cole Hufnagel.Charles is survived by his son, Charles L. "Larry" and his wife Nancy (Walls) Cole of Westlake, OH; his grandchildren Angela Cole Pierce and husband Brian, Jeffrey Charles Cole and Andrea Cole Alexy and husband Doug; his great grandchildren, Cole James and Grace Ellen Pierce, Brandon Charles, Tyler Bryant and Conner Barrett Cole, Avery Jo, Evan Paul and Addison Lynn Alexy. Charles also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24 from 10am-1pm at the Smithfield Christian Church followed by his funeral service at 1pm with Rev.
