CharlesR.Lathem, II. 37, of Steubenville, Ohio formerly of Toronto, passed away Monday Aug. 21, 2006 in the Cleveland Clinic. Charlie was born Nov. 27, 1968 in Follansbee, W.Va., son of the late Bridgette V. Butler Lathem, who passed away in 1996 and Charles R. Lathem of Toronto, Ohio who survives. Charlie was an Asst. Production Manager for the Bethel Bakery in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was a member of the WintersvilleBaptistChurch, a member of the American Culinary Federation Assoc., and was a recent graduate in 2004 from the Pennsylvanian Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh, graduating as Valedictorian of his class.Charlie was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Surviving are his wife DeidraL. Strovilas-Lathem of home, his daughter Sequoia Dawn Lathem and his son Noah Charles Lathem both of home; his father and step-mother Charles R. and Susan Lathem of Toronto, three sisters, Mary (Larry) Saccareccia of Toronto, Tracey (Dave) Anderson of Piney Fork, Carol (Jeff) Bradley of Weirton, three brothers, James (Fianc Beverly) Lathem of Steubenville, William (Carrie) Lathemof Parkersburg, W.Va., Patrick (Missy) Lathem of Weirton, and a step-brother Jason (Bridgette) Michael of Wintersville. His mother-in-law Judy Strovilas and her companionBob Rawson of Steubenville, brother-in-law Michael Johnson of Toronto, two sisters-in-law Teresa Strovilas of New Albany, Ohio, Jenny Strovilas of Toronto,several nieces and nephews and best friend Travis and Michelle Mosti of Toronto.Friends and family may call Wed. evening from 7-9pm and also THursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am. at J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc.,with Rev. Dr. John A. Beard officiating.Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, OH.
