Charles W. Maffett, 85, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday Nov. 13, 2021, in the Gables Care Center in Hopedale, OH.

Charlie was born March 13, 1936, in Toronto, OH, son of the late Samuel H. and Dorothy (Littlecott) Maffett.

Charlie was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp, Steubenville Plant, where he worked in the clerical dept.

He was a member of the Brays Chapel United Methodist Church in Costonia and for 30 years, he was the organist at Zion United Church of Christ in Steubenville, OH. Charlie served his county in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas, and Samuel L. Maffett.

Surviving is his sister, Nancy Elson; two brothers, John (Diane), Clifford Franklin Buzz Maffett all of Toronto, and 10 nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service celebrating Charlies life will be held Sunday Dec. 5, 2021, at 1 pm, at Zion UCC, in Steubenville. Rev. Walter Coy will officiate. Arrangements for Charlie are in the care of J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH.
