Charles R. "Chip" Mick, 70, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday Oct. 30, 2024, in the Trinity Medical Center West ER in Steubenville, OH.

Chip was born Nov. 15, 1953, in Wyandotte, MI, son of the late Homer George Mick and Edith Marie (Andrews) Mick Hanna.

He retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad, where he worked as a Gang Leader Supervisor. Chip was currently working as a Custodian for the Toronto City School District.

Chip was a Veteran of the US Army having served in the 101st Airborne, where he was a recipient of the National Defense Medal.

In addition to his parents, Chip was preceded in death by an infant brother Ronnie, and brothers, Terry Mick and James "Sparky" Miller.

Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Janet M. (Cooper) Mick, whom he married July 20, 1974; three sons, Charles R. "Chuck" (Jenifer) Mick, II of Fairfax, VA, Matthew (Amanda) Mick of Steubenville, and Adam (Allie) Mick of Toronto: six grandchildren, Aiden Mick, LCpl Colby Mick, Adali Mick, Connor Mick, Jaxson Mick and Kyler Mick; sister, Tina (Mick) Call of Mt. Vernon, OH; uncle, Roger (Diane) Miller of Wellsville, OH, and his trusted friend, his rescued dog Libby.

Family and friends will be received Saturday Nov. 2 from 1 to 3 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
