Charles Edward Ed Pool, 84, of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at his home.

Ed was born March 6, 1937, in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Raymond and Wanda (Barnhart) Pool.

He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto, former Truck Driver for Humes Trucking, and he was a Veteran of the US Army.

Ed worked with our family as a funeral attendant for the J.E. Foster Funeral Home for over 10 years.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret F. Peggy Pool, who passed Nov. 28, 2014, his daughter, Jessica Pool, who passed Sept. 18, 1976, and his brother Gene.

Ed leaves behind his son, Stephen Pool of Toronto; daughter, Margaret Peggy Pool (Richard Schonely) of Toronto; brothers, Jack Pool of Wintersville, OH, and Larry Pool of Richmond, OH; sister, Claudia Rogers also of Richmond.

Eds wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of his family at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto. He will be laid to rest with his wife in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville.

Arrangements for Ed are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Memorial donations may be directed to Valley Hospice.
