Charles R. Young, 83, of Smithfield, Ohio passed away Monday January 23, 2012 at his home. Charles was born March 17, 1928 in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Charles F. and Cloa Wine Young. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Mingo Plant where he was a barge loader. He was also a self-employed farmer, a former truck driver and has built homes in the past. In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by his wife Eileen Harkins Young on April 29, 2008, his sister Betty Irene Young Bonar, his infant brother Perry Lee young and his two brothers Franklin and Paul Young. Surviving are his daughter Loretta Young Adams of Smithfield, three sons Robert Bruce Young and Roger Dale young both of Arizona and Brad Young of home. three grandchildren Sherry Ann Young Wilshire of Tiltonsville, John Eric Young of MI. and Ashleigh Adams of Smithfield. Two great-grandchildren Collin and Chad Wilshire. Two sisters Mary Lou Rogers of Rayland and Linda Jackson of Mingo.Visitation for Charles will be on Thursday from 4 -7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield.
