Charlotte P. Simmons, 81 of Rayland, Ohio passed away Thursday Aug. 13, 2009 at her home. Charlotte was born March 19, 1928 in Keene, Ohio, daughter of the late Russell and Vera King Sarbaugh. She was a homemaker, a member of the Smithfield Methodist Church and was a former volunteer for the American Red Cross.In addition to her parents Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Harold Simmons in 1984, and three sisters, Beulah Tiedt, Maxine King, and Wanda Mason. Surviving are her son David (Kathy) Simmons of Mingo Jct., Ohio her grandson Troy (Misty) Simmons of Rayland, two great-grandchildren Troy II and Te'a Simmons. Two sisters, Dorothy Miller of Dresden, Ohio and Mildred Haight of Coshocton, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews.Friends and family may call on Monday Aug. 17th., from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield, Ohio. On Tuesday additional visitation will be held at the Canal Lewisville Methodist Church, off of Route 36 near Coshocton, Ohio from 12 noon up til Charlotte's Funeral Service which will be at 1:00 pm. Pastor's Jane Betts and Ed Gardner will officiate Charlotte's Service. Burial will follow in Canal Lewisville Cemetery near the Church.
