Cheryl Mae (Miro) Merriman, 65, of Piney Fork, OH, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 in the East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, OH.Cheryl was born on August 2, 1947 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Lewis, Sr. and Ethel (Wells) Miro. She was a Baptist by Faith and a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her son, George Robert Merriman who passed away in 2009; her infant son Floyd Robert Merriman; her brother Lewis "Butch" Miro, Jr. and her infant twin siblings Angela Lynn and Richard Lee Miro.Cheryl is survived by her husband, Robert V. Merriman, Sr. of home whom she married on Sept. 23, 1964; her daughter Barbara (Danny) DiCenzo of Yorkville, OH; her son Robert V. "Bob" (Colleen) Merriman, Jr. of Wintersville, OH; her daughter in law Jodi Merriman of Steubenville, OH; her eight grandchildren, Michael, Matthew and Christopher DiCenzo, Emily and Josh Merriman, Alyssa, Isabella and Luke Merriman; her brother Ronald (Peggy) Miro of Bloomingdale, OH; sister Brenda (Randy) Adams of Wintersville; sister Connie (Butch) Koniski of Wintersville; sister Debbie Barnhart of Cadiz, OH; brother James (Hollie) Hardman of Colorado. Cheryl also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Cheryl will be held on Tuesday, August 14 from 3-7pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH followed by her Funeral Service at 11am on Wednesday at the funeral home with Fr. Daniel Heusel officiating. There will be additional visitation on Wednesday morning from 10am til the time of the Service at 11am. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH.
