Claudia Jean Chaney, 65 of Steubenville, Oh., formerly of Toronto passed away Thursday Sept. 27, 2012 in the Country Club Manor in Steubenville.Claudia was born Jan. 30, 1947 in Toronto, daughter of the late Claude and Mary Jeanne Hommel Davis. She formerly worked in the Housekeeping Dept. at Trinity East Hospital and was a member of the N. River Ave. Christian Church.She was preceded in death by her brother John Davis and by her sister Martha Parsons.Surviving are two sons, James D. (Dianna) Chaney and Thomas "TJ" Chaney all of Steubenville, two sisters; Carol (Paul ) Sherwood and Harriett (Bob) Shumard all of Toronto. 9 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and the Bolger family for all their care and compassion during their mother's stay at the Country Club Manor. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Claudia Tuesday Oct. 2, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the North River Ave. Christian Church in Toronto.
