Curtis S. Black, 67, of Hammondsville, OH, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 in the East Liverpool City Hospital, East Liverpool, OH. Curtis was born June 29, 1941 in Hammondsville, son of the late Wilbur Black and Winifred (Tice) Black of who survives. Curtis was a retired employee of Jefferson County Highway Dept with over 29 years of service, he was also a long time member of the Irondale VFD. In addition to his father, Curtis was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Bowman.In addition to his mother, Curtis is survived by his wife, Barbara (Millhorn) Black of home, whom he married January 29, 1965; his two sons, Bryan W. (Billie) Black of Irondale, Greig S. (Melissa) Black of Steubenville; his 5 grandchildren, Dannielle, Scott, Alisha, Savannah and Nathan; and his three brothers, Fred (Joan) Black of Irondale, Dale (Linda) Black of Irondale, and Gene (Beverly) Black of Toronto. Visitation for Curtis will be held on Wednesday, October 29 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. Curtis' funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30 at 11am at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
