Curtis D. Boyd, 65 of Smithfield, OH, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 in the Trinity West Medical Center ER, in Steubenville, OH, as a result of injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident.

Curt was born July 14, 1959 in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Richard M. and Shirley L. (Root) Boyd.

After graduation from high school, Curt enlisted in the US Air Force and served his country for 6 years. Half of those 6 years he spent stationed in Germany. Upon his honorable discharge from the military Curt became a truck driver and recently retired a month ago from JLE Industries.

In addition to his parents, Curt was preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Fife) Boyd, who was an occupant in the vehicle.

Curt leaves behind his son, Curtis Daniel Boyd, Jr. of Arizona; daughter, Brandi N. Boyd of Steubenville; stepchildren, Ken Ransom, Angela "Gidget" Ransom, and Brian Ransom; brothers, Bill Boyd and Ted (Lori) Boyd both of Smithfield; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
