Cynthia S. (Scalley) Murphy, 64, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, in the Sienna Skilled Nursing Facility in Wintersville.

Cindy was born Jan. 6, 1959, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late John B. Scalley and Helen (Zdinak) Scalley, who survives.

Cindy was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto. She was a 1977 graduate of Toronto High School and had previously worked for both Stark Van Lines and Staceys IGA.

In addition to her mother, Helen of Toronto, Cindy is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Joe) LaSalle, of Steubenville, OH; two brothers, John (Janice) Scalley and David (Judy) Scalley; three sisters, Diane (Jim) Orsini, Jackie (Quint) Myslinsky, and Severine (Brian) Gorby, all of Toronto, OH; three grandchildren, Cooper, Evan, and Ava LaSalle; two stepchildren, Tonya and Aaron Murphy, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday June 13, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church. Father Thomas Vennitti will celebrate, and the burial will be held at the convenience of her family.

A Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home and additional visitation will take place Wednesday morning in the rear of the church from 10 to 11 AM.
