Cynthia Marie (Alloggia) Vitek, 72, of Rayland, OH, passed away Thursday July 13, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Cindy was born June 9, 1951, in Martins Ferry, OH, daughter of JoAnn (Girga) Eller and Fred (Martha) Alloggia, both who survive.

Cindy was a retired preschool teacher from Buckeye Local Schools, where she taught her entire career. She loved teaching and her students.

She was a 1969 graduate of Dillonvale High School and received degrees from The Ohio State University and Ohio University.

Cindy was preceded in death by her husband John Jock Danier Vitek in 2010, sister, Pamela Garland and brother, Joseph Garland.

Surviving in addition to her parents, is her daughter, Kristina (Scott) Neumore and her son, Ryan (Sara) Vitek; sister, Tina Cook; five grandchildren, Caden and Kylie Neumore, Kaylee Schubenski, and Emma and Sophia Vitek.

Visitation will be held Tuesday July 18, 2023, from 4 to 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. A private funeral service for her family will be held on Wednesday. Jim Monogioudis will officiate, and burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
