DANIEL E. BLASCHAK 78 of State Route 152 Toronto, Ohio died Tuesday Aug. 10, 2004 in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville. Dan was born Sept. 30, 1925 in Empire, Ohio son of the late Michael E. and Mary Elizabeth Blasco Blaschak. Dan was a retired employee of Titanium Metals Corp. in Toronto where he worked in the Strip Mill. He is a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Toronto and the American Legion. Dan was a U.S. Army veteran serving in W.W. II and was a Purple Heart recipient. In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by a Brother George who died in W.W. II in Italy. Surviving are; his wife of 56 years Virginia Barker Blaschak, whom he married on June 5, 1948. His three children . Brenda ( Michael ) Akers of Galion ,Ohio; Daniel ( Penny ) Blaschak of Toronto, and Karen ( William "Bub" ) Golba of Wellsville. Six Grandchildren; Nickolas, Matthew, Danelle, Andrew, James, and Ryan. His Sister; Margaret ( Floyd ) Wright of Gnadenhutton, Ohio and His brother; Joseph (MargaretVirginia)Blaschalk of Mingo Jct., Ohio. Friends and family may call on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc. 701 Findley St. Toronto, Ohio. Additional Calling hours will be on Friday at the St. Joseph R.C. Church N. River Ave. Toronto from 9:00 am up til time the the Funeral Liturgy with Mass which is at 10:00 a.m. Msgr. Kurt Kemp will be the Celebrant and burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery near Empire, Ohio. Vigil Service will be on Thursday Evening at 7:30 pm. at the Funeral Home.
