Dave L. Haught, 77, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.

Dave was born Feb. 14, 1946 in Steubenville, son of the late Ermal and Josephine (Gawloski) Haught.

He was retired from the former Ohio Edison First Energy Sammis Plant in Stratton, OH, with over 30 years in the Maintenance Dept.

Dave was a 1964 graduate of Toronto High School. His memberships include the Toronto Eagles and the THS Alumni Association.

Dave was a loving husband, father and Pappy who enjoyed attending all of the activities his grandchildren participated in. He also had a passion for classic cars and trucks, especially the old Corvettes.

He leaves behind his wife, Deborah Debbie A. (Bauer) Haught whom he married Feb. 19, 1969; two daughters, Leslie (Ray) Kovalesky of Wheeling, WV, and Jennifer (Donald) Grimm of Toronto. He was known as Pappy to his four grandchildren, Braden (Leah) Haught, Jordan and Tyler Porter, and Raymond Kovalesky.

Visitation for Dave will be held on Wednesday, June 21 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, with a funeral service to follow at 7 PM. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
