David E. Hannan Sr., 66, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Saturday Sept. 24, 2011 at his home.Dave was born Oct. 28, 1944 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Thomas J. and Ellen Templey Hannan. Dave was retired from Ironworkers Local # 549 in Wheeling, WV and he was a member of the Moose Lodge in Weirton. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by two sisters, Cappy Yasho and Mary Ellen DeLuce; also by two brothers, Patsy and John Hannan. Surviving are his wife Sharon (Cornelius) Hannan of home, whom he married on Nov. 4, 1995; his daughter Melissa (Matt) Morrison of Richmond, OH; his sons David E. (Kim) Hannan Jr. of Dublin, OH and Shawn Hannan of Toronto, OH; two step-children Brian (Becca) Peckens and Colleen Peckens; six grandchildren, Hayley, Collin and Evan Hannan, Lynsey and McKenzie Morrison and Cedric Peckens; three sisters, Nancy (Brady) Householder of Richmond, OH, Betty "Babe" Schiappa of Steubenville, OH, and Marge (Jack) Peterson of Spartansburg, SC; his brother Thomas "Tucker" (Carolyn) Hannan of Toronto, OH. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St. Toronto, OH; where Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Rev. Michael Bongart will officiate Dave's Service and burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.
