David L. Huff, 73, of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Dave was born March 21, 1951, in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Joseph and Winnie (Grose) Huff.

After high school, Dave joined the US Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam War. After returning home, Dave went to work for himself as Huffs Heating and Cooling and also Don Vernon Heating and Cooling before joining the Carpenters Local #186 out of Steubenville, where he would eventually retire.

Outside of work, Dave loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren and woodworking in his workshop. He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto and the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Huff, Jr., sister, Valerie Gorman, and niece, Suzanne Kresser.

Dave leaves behind his wife, Mary Ann (Estep) Huff, whom he married Nov. 21, 1970; son, Christopher (Brooke) Huff of Stow, OH; two daughters, Traci (Craig) Ondusko of Amsterdam, OH, and Angela (Tom) Erat of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters, Linda (Frank) Slowikowski of Toronto, and Lori Stebritz of Smithfield, VA; five grandchildren, Zachary and Oliver Huff, Thomas, Emma, and Adam Erat.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 30, from 5 to 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will follow on Friday at 11 AM at St. Francis Church in Toronto. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate, and burial will follow in the Ft. Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, OH.

A Vigil Service will be held Thursday at 4:30 PM at the funeral home. Additional visitation will take place on Friday at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM. Military Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Toronto American Legion Post #86.
