Obituary
David W. Ray, Sr., 80, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.
Dave was born Oct. 13, 1942 in Roseboro, NC, son of the late Arthur and Susan (Brannan) Ray.
He worked as a gov. certified machinist and welder at the former Jefferson Machine Shop in Richmond, OH.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi (Gallagher) Ray, two sisters, five brothers and an infant brother.
Dave leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Cathy (Hartline) Ray; three sons, David W., Jr. (Deanna) Ray of Van Wert, OH, William Bill (Vicki) Nichols of Toronto, and John Paul Ray of Youngstown, OH; two daughters, Suzanne Marie Ray of Van Wert, and Cindy (Christopher) Granat of Minerva, OH; one brother, John (Carolyn) Ray of Holden Beach, NC; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
