David P. Reed, 80, of Rayland, Oh, passed away Wednesday Jan. 15, 2014 at his home. David was born January 8, 1934 in Barnesville, Oh, son of the late Thomas and Mary Ankrom Reed. He was retired from Boich Mining and he enjoyed his motorcycle. In the past David raced stock cars at the former DE-Bo race track in Rayland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Roger; grandson Benjamin Reed; brothers, Leonard, Richard and infant twins; sisters Nancy, Janie,Kathy and an infant sister.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret (Cameron) Reed; sons David (Dara) Reed and Fred (Nancy) Reed all of Rayland; his brother Dean (Jean) Reed of Rayland; sisters Carolyn (Bob) Rea of Rayland, Janet Hamby and her companion of NC; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Friday Jan. 17, 2014 from 3-7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield, OH, where services will be held on Sat. at 10 am. and burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
