DeanG."Diz"Byers,73 of Stratton, Ohio passed away Sunday March 25, 2007 in TrinityMedicalCenter West. Diz was born June 17, 1933 in Stratton, OH son of the late George L. and Bulah Belle (Burns) Byers.Dean was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, Jenkins Masonic Lodge 471 of Irondale, OH, and the Toronto American Legion Post 86.Diz was a veteran of the Korean War serving his country in the US Navy. After the war, Diz worked as an Iron Worker for Local 549 out of Wheeling, WV where he later retired.In addition to his parents, Diz was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn "Jaber" (Argentine) who passed away in 1998; two sisters, Imogene Coulter and Beverly Vinburg; two brothers, George and Jack Byers.Diz is survived by his three sons, Rick (Marsha) Byers of Bergholz, OH; David (Carolyn) Byers of Irondale, OH; Gary (Kari) Byers of Irondale, OH; three daughters, Susie (Elmer) Rawson of Irondale, OH; Linda Byers of York, PA; Cathy Reighard of Irondale, OH; two brothers, Dorhman "Doc" Byers and Tom (Marge) Byers both of Stratton, OH.Dean is also survived by his twelve grandchildren.Friends and family may call on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm ., at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 701 Findley St. in Toronto where a Masonic Service will be held on Wednesday evening at 8:30pm.Funeral services for Dean will be on Thursday, March 29 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with interment to follow in SugarGroveUnitedMethodistCemetery. Rev. Enzie Wade and Rev.
