Dean E. Hodgkiss, 73, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully Monday July 1, 2024.

Dean was born May 8, 1951, in Steubenville, OH, son of the late John and Eleanor (Bane) Hodgkiss.

Dean retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. and was also an Army Reservist.

In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by an infant sister, Carol Joan, and brother, J. Richard Hodgkiss.

Surviving is his wife, Virginia C. Ginny (Carpenter) Hodgkiss, whom he married Nov. 23, 1979; stepson, Darren Kupske and stepdaughter, Christina Kupske, both of Bridgeport, OH; nephew, Jamie (Betty) Hodgkiss of Amsterdam, OH, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Dean will be held Friday July 5 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto followed by his funeral service at 4 pm. Pastor Seth Filburn will officiate and a private entombment in the Union Cemetery Mausoleum will be held at the convenience of the family.
