Dementro "Lemmie" Glinzak, 87, formerly of Smithfield, OH, passed away Wednesday August 8, 2007 in the Tidewell Hospice and PalliativeCareCenter in Port Charlotte, FL.Lemmie was born on April 4, 1921 in Rush Run, OH, son of the late Mike and Anna Glinzak.He was a WWII veteran serving his country in the U.S. Navy.Lemmie was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Mingo where he worked as a crane operator.He was a member of the Smithfield American Legion Post # 396 and the Dillionvale Eagles. In addition to his parents, Lemmie was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Michael Glinzak and two sisters, Anna Kozakowski and Olga Morrelli.Lemmie is survived by one brother, Louis and his wife Marilyn of Punta Gorda, FL; two sister, Catherine Dennis also of Punta Gorda and Julia Michalka of PA.Visitation for Lemmie will be held on Monday, August 13 from 10-12pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home-Nightingale Chapel in Smithfield, OH.A funeral service will follow at 12pm with the Msgr.
