Denise R. (Eddy) George, 58, of Bloomingdale, OH, passed away Wednesday, January 05, 2011 in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH. Denise was born on July 3, 1952 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of George and Ruth (Forester) Eddy whom survive.Denise was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Toronto, OH, she was a past member of the Women's Advisory Board for Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville, OH; she was very active with Indian Creek school functions while her son attended and volunteered her time with the Wintersville Good Neighbors Program. Denise worked for many years along side her high school sweetheart, her husband Larry "Scuffy" George, at his family's studio, Photography by Geroge in Wintersville.Denise was preceded in death by her father in law, Jim George who passed away in July of 2007.Denise is survived by her parents who reside in Wintersville, OH; her husband Larry "Scuffy" George whom she married on August 19, 1973; her son Chad George of Columbus, OH and her brother Bob (Denise) Eddy of Bloomingdale, OH; her mother in law Ruth George of Steubenville. Visitation for Denise will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH, where her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 8 at 11am with the Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Steubenville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made in Denise's memory to the Edith Forester Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Eastern Gateway Community College; First United Methodist Church in Toronto, OH; or the Teramana Cancer Center in Steubenville, OH.
