Obituary
Derol D. Martin, 80, of Dillonvale, OH, passed away Sat. Jan. 21, 2017 in the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Derol was born Jan. 8, 1937 in Hocking Co, OH, son of the late Gerald and Bess (Dawley) Martin.
He was retired millwright from Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point, MD. He was a member of the Society of Friends and the Smithfield Historical Society.
Derol also was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, Derol was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Dawson and brother-in-law, Gene Zifzal.
Surviving is his wife, Jacqueline J. (Quental) Martin; his children, Cindy (William) Harris of Piney Fork, OH, Derol Dean Martin, Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Julia (Juan) Torres of Colorado Springs, CO and Laura (Matthew) Brookes of Bainbridge, OH; six grandchildren, Nicholas (Kellie) Donahue, Ashley (Jeff) Lamb, Jessica (Garrett) Walker, Brett Weinberger, Emily and Jacob Brookes; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Bennett and Ivy; three sisters, Rita Zifzal, Anita (Ed) Carson both of Smithfield, OH and Eleanor Martin of Hopedale, OH.
