Diana Lynn (Ogden) Eakle, 67, of Johnsonville, SC, formerly of Smithfield, OH, passed away February 21, 2025. She was a lung cancer survivor but died suddenly of heart failure at McLeod Medical Center in Florence, SC.

Diana was born February 27, 1957, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Donald G. Ogden, Sr. and Shirley M. (Morgan) Ogden. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard "Rick" Eakle of Smithfield and grandson, Gregory Grim.

She is survived by her brother, Donald "Poncho" Ogden, Jr. (Marianna) and niece Jenna; her son, Gene Grim (Sara) of SC; daughter, Heather Grim (Jack-deceased) of Smithfield, bonus daughter, Crystal Shaughnessy of OH; seven grandchildren, Shiane (Jonathan) Bird, Seth Bird, Nickolas Grim, Issac Evans, Autumn Shaughnessy and Avellina Pozzuoli; four great-grandchildren, Paisley, Paxon, Phoenix and Mariah; a great friend and mother of great grandchildren, Carley Daniels. She loved all her fur babies also.

She was an amazing mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and GG. Diana loved working in the yard and around the house. She also loved baking at Christmas and making cookie trays to share with friends and family.

She is loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, Feb. 27 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield with additional visitation on Friday from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Reflections from Diana's family will be shared at noon and burial will follow in the Bergholz Cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com
