Diane M. (Maple) Carr, 76, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, at her home after a lengthy illness.

Diane was born Jan. 31, 1947, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Dale and Ruth (Dougherty) Maple.

She was retired from Timet, where she worked in various departments for 25 years. Diane was also a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Maple, and sister, Rebecca Burris.

Surviving is her loving husband, George L. Carr; daughter, Lisa M. Carr of Toronto; two sons, Joseph Carr of Weirton, WV, and Jason M. (Laurie) Carr of Toronto; two step-sons, Jason L. (Shannon) Carr and Jesse L. (Katharine) Carr both of North Carolina; two brothers, David (Cheryl) Maple and Shawn Maple both of Toronto. Diane is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private service was held at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Fr. Vennitti officiated and the burial will be held at the convenience of Dianes family.
