Donald Anderson Cline, Jr. of Smithfield, OH, went to be with his Lord on Monday January 22, 2018 at 4:19 pm at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after succumbing to injuries from a car accident on Jan. 10, 2018.

Donald was born Jan. 31, 1954 in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Donald A. Cline, Sr. and Beverly Jean (Trouten) Cline Harris. He married Catherine (Lowry) Cline of Smithfield, OH on Nov. 10, 1990.

He graduated from Buckeye Local in 1972. Donald served in the US Army from Nov. 1973 til Jan. 1975 as a mechanic. After serving his country, Donald became a coal miner with Consol Energy and eventually became the owner and operator of J&J Residential in Smithfield.

Donald was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Brilliant, OH. He was active in his church, involved with his family and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald, Sr. (4/17/1925-2/20/1990) and Beverly (1/6/1933-2/9/1996), his brother Walter Cline, Sr. and his step-father James Day Day Harris.

Donald leaves behind his beloved wife, Catherine Cathy (Lowry) Cline of Smithfield; father-in-law, Harry Lowry of Smithfield; 3 daughters, Beverly (Cline) Smith of Weirton, WV, Melissa Cline of WV and Princess Kinney of Brilliant; his son, David Kinney, Jr. of Brilliant; eight grandchildren, Isaac and Jacob Smith, Eli and Ella Kinney, Anthony and Alyzabeth Butler and Aubriegh Kinney and Catherine Morgan of FL; brother, John E. Harris of Smithfield; 4 sisters, Nettie Harris of Youngstown, OH, Alma Sissy Cox of Salem, OH, Dorothy Lemmey of Cleveland, OH and Melanie Donahue of Huntsville, AL; half-sister, Mary Kirk of Cana, VA.

Visitation will be held on Thurs. Jan 25 from 2 4 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield followed by his funeral service at 4 pm. Rev. Gerald Plotts will officiate and Military Honors will follow the service provided by the Brilliant American Legion. www.jefosterfh.com
