Donald G. Tarnovich, 81, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.Don was born April 8, 1929 in Stratton, OH, son of the late Louis Sr., and Alexandra (Tay) Tarnovich. Don was a member of the St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church in Toronto, OH, where he was a choir member and an usher; he was also retired from Timet-Titanium Metals Corp., in Toronto, where he worked in the Hotmill.In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael Sr., Nicholas and Louis Henry Tarnovich; two sisters, Anna Barborak and Mary Rujak.Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, Myrtle (Hale) Tarnovich of home; his daughter Donna Tarnovich Rowan of Pittsburgh, PA; his brother Joseph Tarnovich of Alliance, OH; his two sisters, Helen Musiolowski of East Liverpool and Margaret Tarnovich of Toronto, OH. Don is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Visitation for Don will be held on Monday, May 24 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. There will be a Prayer Service Tuesday morning at 9:30 at the funeral home followed by a Solemn Divine Liturgy Mass at 10am at the St. Joseph Byzantine Church in Toronto with the Fr. James Atkins as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery in Toronto, OH. Parastas Service will be held Monday evening at 6pm.
