Dorothy Jeanne Allen, 78, of Toronto, OH, passed away Sunday December 7, 2014 in the Life Line Hospital in Wintersville, OH. She was carried away peacefully to her eternal home in the arms of her heavenly father.

She was born June 8, 1936 in New Castle, PA, daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Dorothy E. Shriver Gibson and by her father who raised her, Harry A. Miller.

Jeanne was a loving mother and grandmother and felt very blessed to have such a beautiful family. She was a homemaker and a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church in Toronto, Toronto O.E.S. Lodge # 215 and was a 1954 graduate of Jefferson Union High School.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her brother, James N. Gibson.

Surviving is her husband of 32 years, A. Ray Allen of Toronto; her children,

Susan (William) Franke, Pamela (William) Williams, Donald A. Price all of Toronto, Karen (Ronald) Rock of Wooster, OH, Jeffrey C. Price of Toronto and Janet (Darren) Young of Columbus, OH; her two brothers, Paul A. (Jean) Miller of New Cumberland, WV and Larry (Zandra) Gibson of Lake Elisnore, CA; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Jeanne is also survived by her step-children, Gary Allen of Toronto, Danny (Kristy) Allen of TX, Sherry (Doug) Pinkerton, Bonnie Valentine, and David (Keri) Allen all of Toronto; 8 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Services will be held on Tuesday evening, Dec. 9, 2014, with visitation from 6 8 pm followed by her Funeral Service at 8pm at the J.E Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Rev. Josh Elliott will provide her service and burial will be held at the convenience of her family.

Memorial donations may be made to: Riverview United Methodist Church, 105 N. River Ave. Toronto, Ohio 43964 in lieu of flowers.
