The time we are given here on earth is cherished when you lose a loved one. And so, the sudden loss of Dorothy A. "Dotty" Byrley Parker must remind all of us that life is a gift, eternal life is forever. Dotty was welcomed through the gates of heaven on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. She was born December 7, 1947 to Dorothy (Stewart) Tolley and the late Harold C. Byrley. She was raised in Alikanna by Dorothy and the late Albert "Ed" E. Tolley. With each move, she created lasting relationships. Facebook kept her connected to family, friends, and classmates. Dotty's home cooked meals always brought the family together and she loved nothing more than being with her grandchildren. They were truly the joy of her life. She was such a caring and compassionate person - always placing the needs of others first. She is survived by two children: Kimberly (Dave) Bentley of Manassas, Virginia; Dale Edward (Julie) Parker of Granville, Ohio, and five grandchildren: Nicole, Parker, Kendall, Preston, and Vaughn.
