Dorothy Elizabeth Smith, 89, of Steubenville, OH, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in the Laurels of Steubenville.

Dorothy was born Sept. 7, 1925 in Toronto, OH, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Birch Adams.

She was retired from Ohio Valley Hospital where she worked for 25 years as a Nurses Aid and a Ward Clerk. She was Methodist by faith and also volunteered with Meals on Wheels for the Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Goray, who passed in 1981; her husband, Gilbert Smith, who passed in 2005; four brothers and one sister.

Dorothy leaves behind her sons, Michael (Megan) Goray of Hopedale, OH and Robert Mounts of Toronto; her daughters, Cindy (Tom) Hollingsworth of Steubenville, Kimberly Jack of Pittsburgh, PA and Dorothy Vasquez of Arizona; her brother, Harry Adams of California; niece, Kathy Davis of Steubenville; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and her loving dog, Willy.

Visitation and funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, June 6 at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto with visitation from 11 am til time of the service at 12 pm. Chaplain Ted Boggs will officiate her service and her burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
