Dorothy M. “Dot” Wymer, 86, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, in the Carriage Inn of Steubenville, OH.

Dot was born November 10, 1939, in St. Mary’s, WV, daughter of the late Charles H. and Cleda (Higgins) Colvin.

She devoted herself to her home, was an active member of Cornerstone Church in Toronto, and had a love for quilting and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Dot was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wymer, whom she married on May 3, 1972, and who passed away on July 28, 2017, and her brother, Charles J. Colvin.

Surviving is her daughter, JoAnn (Pat) Maxwell and her granddaughter, Miranda Maxwell all of Toronto; two sisters, Ruth Holmes of Toronto and Wilma Beasley of Ocean Springs, MS, and several nieces and nephews.

In following Dot’s wishes, a private family burial, next to her husband, will take place in the Toronto Union Cemetery.

Arrangements for Dot are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
