Judy (Kulstad) VanSlyke Turk, Ph.D., 73 of Richmond, VA, passed away May 2, 2021, in Richmond, VA.

Dr. Turk was born Feb. 23, 1948, in St. Paul, MN, daughter of the late, William M. and Alberta (Applen) Kulstad.

Dr. Turk retired as the Director of the School of Mass Communication at Virginia Commonwealth University.

In addition to her parents, Dr. Turk was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Lou Kulstad.

Surviving is her brother, William G. Bill Kulstad and his wife, Susan of Toronto, OH; two nieces and two nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday June 19 from 2 3 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where her memorial service will follow at 3 PM.

Rev. Jane Schockey will officiate, and burial will take place in Island Creek Cemetery at the convenience of her family.
