Dwayne E. Slug Wright, 76, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday March 5, 2016 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Slug was born March 18, 1939 in Steubenville, son of the late Inez Wright Westfall and step-father Lawrence Westfall.

He retired in 1990 as a foreman for Island Creek Twp. Slug enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales and auctions with his family.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his twin brother Dwight, his sister Imogene Daughtery, his grandson Justin Wright, his daughter-in-law Sandy Wright and his loving dog Sissy.

Slug leaves behind his wife, Pearl A. (Francis) Wright, whom he married on Feb. 6, 1959; his two sons, Tom (Cathy) Wright of Toronto and Tim Wright of Wintersville, OH; his two daughters, Tracy (Ralph) Anders of Steubenville and Tanya (Jim) Schwarz of Piedmont, OH; his brother, Eddie (Marilyn) Diar of Lorain, OH. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Slug will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 4-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Luke Hightshue officiating. Burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto.
