Edith Mae Higgins, 94, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday Dec. 20, 2021, in her home.

Edith was born Sept. 11, 1927, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Eddy) Young.

Edith was a lifelong member of the Brays Chapel in Costonia, OH.

She was an avid bowler and golfer and a 1945 graduate of Jefferson Union High School.

In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Higgins on June 28, 2014, two sisters, Martha McCart, and Molly Lee, and two brothers, William, and George Young.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas of Toronto, with whom she resided, and James of Columbus, OH, and her sister, Ann Bray of Toronto.

Visitation will be held Thursday Dec. 23, 2021, from 3 to 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where her funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am. Pastor Bobby John Bauman will officiate, and burial will follow in the Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto. www.jefosterfh.com
