He retired from First Energy in 1999, where he served as Boat Captain of the Edison Queen. Chuck loved the Ohio State Buckeyes (from his daughter Lisa… "yuck"). He loved fishing and was always finding projects around the house. There wasn't anything he couldn't do. He was always full of humor, and to know him was to love him. Chuck never met a stranger and man did he love his sweets, sherbert, cookies, and milk to name a few of his favorites.

He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl, Frank, Daniel, Floyd, Norman, his granddaughter, Chelsea Hudson, and his best four-legged boy Billy.
