Edward Charles 'Chuck' Hudson, 81, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, in the Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.
Chuck was born October 9, 1944, in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Hurshel and Blanche (Landis) Hudson.
Chuck graduated from Jefferson Union High School in 1963 and proudly served his country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War.
He retired from First Energy in 1999, where he served as Boat Captain of the Edison Queen. Following retirement, he and his love relocated to Lettuce Lake Travel Resort in Florida, where he contributed to park maintenance. They resided there until August 2024, at which time they returned to Ohio for a visit. During this visit, Chuck was diagnosed with leukemia, and they have since been residing in Toronto.
Chuck loved the Ohio State Buckeyes (from his daughter Lisa… "yuck"). He loved fishing and was always finding projects around the house. There wasn't anything he couldn't do. He was always full of humor, and to know him was to love him. Chuck never met a stranger and man did he love his sweets, sherbert, cookies, and milk to name a few of his favorites.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl, Frank, Daniel, Floyd, Norman, his granddaughter, Chelsea Hudson, and his best four-legged boy Billy.
Surviving is his wife, M. Esther (Pinkerton) Hudson, whom he married March 20, 1985; his children, Michael (Mary Beth) Hudson of Myrtle Beach SC, Lisa (Quint) McFarland of Germano, OH, Jimmy (Carolyn) Stewart of Georgia, and Julie (Mike) Rudy of Toronto, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
In accordance with Chuck's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no public services at this time. A memorial gathering will be scheduled for a later date.
Arrangements for Chuck are in the care of J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH.
