Elizabeth M. "Betty" Carr, 84, of Empire, Ohio passed away Saturday June 19, 2010 in the Laurels of Steubenville. Betty was born March 1, 1926 in Toronto, Ohio daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Shimmel Choma. Betty work for the former Humes Trucking Co. and was a former member of the Sunrise Senior Citizens Club. Betty enjoyed sending Cards to everyone especially to the sick and shut-ins. She also collected cook-books. She enjoyed traveling, her special ones, The Three Trips on the Sternwheelers, The Mississippi Queen and the American Queen. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband George S. Carr, Jan 1, 1981, and a brother Nick Choma Jr. Betty is survived by her much loved two children, Theresa (Keith) Jacobs of Canonsburg, Pa., and George N. (Donna) Carr of Churchton, Md. Also her sister Irene"Skippy"Choma of Stratton, with whom she resided before going to the Laurels. Also survived by two sister-in-laws Bonnie (Kenny) Sharp and children of Uniontown, Ohio and Marge Choma and her children Melissa and Mark of Washington, Pa. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Tuesday June 22nd from 2:00 - 7:00 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 701 Findley St. Toronto, Ohio. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery. A special Thank-you to Dr. Rahman and the Staff at the Termana Cancer Center.
