Elizabeth M. "Libby" Conrad, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday June 12, 2014 in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.Libby was born June 20, 1926 in Altoona, PA, daughter of the late Edward and Mary Fuchs. She married her husband, Robert, at the end of WWII. They later moved to Toronto, where she raised her two loving sons.She was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church in Toronto and the Toronto Sr. Citizens Club. Libby was the Co-Owner of the E&E Bridal Shop in Steubenville. Early on she was employed at Cooper and Klein Bridal Shop in Steubenville and the former Ohio Valley Hospital. In her retirement, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with friends and family. She also volunteered at the Valley Hospice thrift shop. You would often see her at many school sporting and community events. In additions to her parents, Libby was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, Katherine and George Mayr, who raised her; her husband Robert, who passed away in 1972; her brothers Edward and Charles and her loving sister Marian. Surviving are devoted sons, Robert of Bloomington, IN and Mark of Toronto; her sister Frieda Montgomery of Duncansville, PA; her two brothers, Al (Helen)Fuchs of Altoona, PA and Frank Fox of Del Ray Beach, FL; many nieces and nephews and her good friend Sheila Brown of Toronto, and special niece Beverly of Rochester, NY.Visitation for Libby will be on Tuesday June 17, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Graveside Services will take place on Wednesday at 12:30 pm at the Blair Memorial Park Cemetery in Bellwood, PA. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
