Elizabeth L. Betty (Papandrea) Fulton McVann, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.

Betty was born July 6, 1929 in Toronto, daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Bonifine) Papandrea.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Toronto, the Catholic Womens Club, and a former member of the Sunrise Senior Citizens. Betty was a former secretary for Rogers Trucking Service.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Hayes and Kay Ternasky, two brothers, Vincent and Joseph Papandrea, son-in-law Dan Smurda and her first grandchild, infant Cherie Lynn McCraley.

Betty leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Jay R. McVann whom she married Aug. 17, 1984; her children, Cindy (Dennis) Fuster of Columbiana, OH, Cathy Smurda, Mary Jo (Dave) Kuhn, Cheryl (Wes) Jacobsen, Teresa (Ray) Ludewig, Rita (Eddie) Weidger, Bill (Beth) Fulton and Amy (Mike) Heiss all of Toronto; her step-children, Iris Fiddler of Lynn Haven, FL, Mike (Janet) McVann of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Kim (Patrick) Dougherty of Toronto and Kelly (Tom) Bernhardt of Panama City, FL; two sisters, Mae (William) DeFallo of Steubenville and Judy Papandrea of Toronto. Betty also is survived by her 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Betty will be held on Tuesday, August 23 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 am til 10:45 am followed by her Funeral Liturgy with Mass at St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto at 11 am. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate the Mass and her burial will be held at the convenience of her family. Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday at 3:45pm.
