Elizabeth J. 'Betty' Volacek, 76, of Co. Rd. 15 Rayland, OH, went to meet the Lord and reunite with her parents, George and Stephie Klasek Volacek on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Betty was born April 8, 1938 in Martins Ferry, OH. She was a loving Christian and a graduate of Smithfield High School class of 1956.Betty worked at Kregis Five and Ten Cent Store in Steubenville in her younger years. In the 1960's and 70's she worked at the new co-operative store in Dillonvale, OH. For the past 40 years Betty has been a homemaker enjoying her country life with her pet dogs and cats.She attended the Smithfield Friends Church and the Meadowbrook Church of God and she was a member of the Smithfield and Dillonvale Sr. Citizens and the Dillonvale CSA Lodge. Bettys loving friends and neighbors were her immediate family. She will be sadly missed by her close friends and neighbors.Visitation for Betty will be held on Tuesday, May 13 from 5-7 pm with her funeral service following at 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. Rev. Marvin Schooler will officiate the service and interment will take place Wednesday in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield. www.jefosterfh.com
