Ellen M. Kovarik 71 of Bloomingdale,Ohio died Tuesday Sept. 28, 2004 in East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. Ellen was born June 19, 1933 in W.Va., daughter of the late Charles and Florence Clark Eltringham. Ellen was Bookkeeper for her husband Lou, who owned the former Lou's Amoco in Smithfield and she was long time Clerk for Northern Cemetery in Smithfield, until her retirement. Ellen was Methodist by faith and was a member of the Dames of Malta. In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by; her 1st. Husband; Robert "Snub" Ogden, an Infant son, 2 infant Brothers, and a infant Sister. Surviving are; her husband of 36 years, Louis " Lou " Kovarik of home, Two sons; Robert (Glenda) Odgen of Rayland, Louis Kovarik and friend (Carissa ) of Rush Run. Two Daughters; Barb (Dean) Richards of Rush Run; Jeanne ( Warren " Greaser " ) Carothers of Rayland. Three Grandchildren; Robert, Kayla, and Kody. One Sister; Glenna ( Bob ) Kinkus of Yorkville. Two Brothers; Robert ( Sherry ) Eltringham of Rayland; Tom Eltringham and friend Ruby of Parlett. Several Nieces and Nephews; including a special niece Darla Kaye Kuri of Tiltonsville. Friends and family may call on Thursday evening from 6-9 pm. and on Friday morning from 11:00 am. up til time of the services which are at 1:00 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 107 Hill St. Smithfield. Rev. Tom Thomas will officiate the Service and Burial will follow in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield.
