Ellsworth S. "Pickle" Graham, 96, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Pickle was born April 10, 1928, in Toronto, son of the late Ollie and Jeanette (Patterson) Graham.
He was a 1946 graduate of Toronto High School. Three days after graduating Pickle enlisted in the US Navy during WWII. He was honorably discharged having earned a WWII Victory Medal in March of 1948.
Pickle was retired from the Titanium Metals-TIMET Plant in Toronto where he worked in Sales and Quality Control.
He was a member of the Toronto First Methodist Church, lifetime member (1952) of the Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 F&AM, where he was Past Master and Treasurer for over 20 years, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville for over 70 years, and the Order of the Eastern Star for over 65 years.
Pickle was also the Charter President of the Toronto Lions Club having helped form the club in 1957, with over 65 years of perfect attendance.
He was a city councilman for 16 years, Clerk of Council, Toronto City Schools board member for 8 years, Toronto High School Alumni Life Member and a member of the Toronto American Legion for over 60 years.
In addition to his parents, Pickle was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Carol Graham who passed May 5, 2016, sisters, Margaret Graham, Jean Dorff and Helen Gray, and brothers, Charles, John Dean and Harry Graham.
Pickle leaves behind his children, son, Dr. Thomas 'Bo' (Diane) Graham of Steubenville, twin daughters, Marlene (Rick) Wolf of Toronto and Darlene (Bill) Mason of Wintersville, OH; grandchildren, RT Wolf, Kayla (Dan) Whitlatch, Megan Wolf and Billy Mason; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Carolina Wolf, Jon and Alli Whitlatch; sister-in-law, Anne Graham and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 2 PM to 8 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11 AM at the Toronto First Methodist Church. Pastor Ron Dixon and Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate and Military Honors will be presented by the Toronto American Legion.
A Masonic Service and Lions Club Service will conclude the evening Wednesday and additional visitation will take place Thursday at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM. Memorial donations may be directed to the church or the Toronto High School Alumni Association.
