Elmer L. Mossor, 73, of Rayland, Ohio passed away Saturday Oct. 23, 2010 in Wheeling Hospital. Elmer was born Oct. 20, 1937 in Rayland, Ohio, son of the late Cecil and Pearl Iler Mossor. Elmer was retired from Labor Local #809, was a Protestant by faith and served his country in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents Elmer was preceded in death by an infant son Elmer Leroy Mossor Jr., his sisters Ruth Bender and Edna Core and two brothers, Virgil and infant brother Raymond Mossor. Surviving are his wife of 53 years Thelma Tanner Mossor of home, five sons, Mike of Rayland, Jeff and wife Nancy of Dillonvale, Gary and wife Dana of Shreveport, La., Kevin of Cadiz and Stephen and wife Pamela of Dillonvale. 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchidren. Elmer also leaves his two trusting companion's Lucky and Bandit. Friends and family may call on Monday from 7-9 pm. and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield, Ohio; where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm. Pastor Jim Monogioudis and Rev. Bertha Crane will officiate Elmer's Service.
