IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Evelyn Ann
Byers
April 21, 1931 – February 26, 2025
Evelyn Ann Byers, 93, of Toronto, OH, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in the Valley Hospice Mary Jane Brooks Care Center at Trinity Medical Center after a life well-lived.
Evelyn was born April 21, 1931, the daughter of the late Steven and Marie Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Walter W. 'Bill' Byers, brothers Carl, Jim, Bob, and John Miller and sister Alice Needs.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Dennis) Galaszewski and Donna (Randy) Henry, grandchildren Jennifer (Greg) Moore, Chelsea (Francesca) Henry, and Dustin Henry and great-grandchildren Ryan Komacko, Ava Dennis, and Ethan Moore.
Evelyn worked hard her entire life starting her marriage working by her husband's side on their 168-acre farm and later as a cook at Henry's Dairy Isle, Yummy's Ice Cream, and the Toronto Bowling Alley.
She will always be remembered for her kind, considerate nature and her desire to help anyone in need, especially at Christmas. One of her greatest joys next to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was giving to others through her cooking and baking.
Last year at age 93, she continued her tradition of making homemade noodles and all the Thanksgiving pies and Christmas breads. But most of all, Evelyn will be remembered for her never-ending love for her family. We will love and miss you forever, Ma.
Friends will be received on Sunday, March 2 from 1 PM to 3 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A Prayer Service will follow at 3 PM with Fr. Thomas Vennitti.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that, if you so choose, to donate to the Valley Hospice or to St. Joseph Church where Evelyn was a member.
We would like to thank Fr. Vennitti, Deanna Rock, the Foster Funeral Home, and the staff of Valley Hospice. All of you are truly God's Angels who appeared in our mother's life at the exact moments she needed you.
