Frances E. (King) Ford, 84, of Toronto, passed away Wednesday, August 06, 2008 in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.Frances was born March 5, 1924 in Toronto, OH, daughter of the late Fred and Edna (Hendershot) Lewis. Frances was retired from National Steel Corp., where she had 28 years of service in the Tin Mill. She was a member of the North River Ave. Christian Church, Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, and the Ladies Oriental Shrine of Columbus. In addition to her parents, Frances, was preceded in death by her husband, Alva 'Bud' Ford, who passed away March 13, 2004; she was also preceded in death by her brother Donald William Lewis who passed in 2001.Frances is survived by her two sons, Valgene 'Butch' (Nora) King, Mark (Becky) King; and her two daughters, Jacqueline (Kenneth) Gorney, Carol (John) Ghenne all of Toronto, Step-Son Alva 'Butch' (Evelyn) Ford of Salem, W.Va., Step-Daughter Charlotte (Keith) Marsh of Philippi, W.Va.Frances is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.Visitation for Frances will be held on Friday, August 8 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the First United Methodist Church on 6th and Main St. in Toronto. Frances' funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9 at 1pm also at the First United Methodist Church in Toronto, with Pastor Robert E. Hanze officiating. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery. Funeral arrangements for Frances are being handled by the J. E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
