Frances Katherine Hartline, 93, of Smithfield, OH, died at Gables Care Center, on April 6, 2012.She was born June 7, 1918, in Washington, PA, a daughter of Mike and Katherine Wozniak Bednarski.She was a devoted Wife and Mother, active in school activities during her child raising years, and was dedicated member, committed to service at the Smithfield Presbyterian Church throughout her adult life. Homemaking was her chosen profession, and she was a quality seamstress and an avid cook and housekeeper. After the passing of her husband, she was a health care companion and housekeeper in the Hopedale area, until her retirement in 1978.She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Bednarski, Walter Bednarski, and E. Richard Bednarski, and one sister Bertha Ermacoff.On June 10, 1939, she married Arthur J. (Jack) Hartline, who passed away February 2, 1971. She is survived by her immediate family, which consists of two sons, Arthur (Kathy) Hartline of Rayland, and Richard (Patricia) Hartline of Spring TX. ; two grandchildren, Anissa (Michael) Orsino of Germantown, MD, and John Hartline of Chicago, IL; one great grandson, Cameron Orsino of Germantown, MD. Also surviving are four sisters, Loretta Yanavich, Alice McVay, and Pearl Legerski all of Washington, PA and Marjorie Temple of West Middletown, PA. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 pm, on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, and from 10 until 11 am on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Smithfield Presbyterian Church, where services will be held at 11 am with the Rev. Darrin Jones officiating. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Smithfield Presbyterian Church, PO Box 187, Smithfield, OH 43948.
