Obituary

Frank Kondik, 84 of Toronto, Ohio passed away Monday Nov. 12, 2007 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville. Frank was born Jan. 6, 1923 in Raccoon, Pa., son of the late John and Mary Krishak Kondik Sr. Frank was retired from Weirton Lumber Co.. and after retirement was a security guard for Hancock Manufacturing in Toronto and was also the former building inspector for the city of Toronto. He is a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Toronto, the Holy Name Society of the church, Knights of Columbus, Toronto American Legion Post # 86 and was a charter member of the Dyer Country Club in Toronto. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army, 173 rd Field Artillery during W.W. II. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his Grandson, Nathan Lowe, a sister, Ann (Zigmund) Slowikowski, and five brothers, John Jr., Stephen, Andrew, Michael, Rev. David Kondik O.S.M. Surviving are his wife Bernadette (Perun) Kondik, whom he married on Oct. 26, 1946, his son Francis (Connie) Kondik of Austin, TX., his daughter Kathleen (Steve) Lowe of Wintersville, three granddaughters, Deanne (Mark) Magolis of Indiana, Pa., Bethany and Laurynn Kondik of Austin,TX., his sister, Mary (James) Petrelle of Weirton, and his brother, Paul (Dolores) Kondik of Toronto. Friends and family may call on Thursday Nov. 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc. 701 Findley St. Toronto, Ohio. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 am. at St. Joseph R.C. Church, North River Ave. in Toronto. Msgr. Kurt Kemo will be the Celebrant. The family will receive friends and family Friday morning at the church from 9:15 am. til time of the Mass. Burial will be at the convenience of Frank's family at Toronto Union Cemetery. Full Military Burial honors will be provided after the Mass at the Church by the Toronto American Legion Post #86.
