Frank Wrkich, 70, of Smithfield, Ohio passed away June 13, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.He was born March 5, 1933 in Apex, Ohio. He is the son of the late George andMary Prohart Wrkich of Smithfield, Ohio.He was preceeded in death by two brothers; Joseph and George Wrkich, Jr. Frank is survived by four sisters; Margaret Wroten and her husband John of Smithfield, Oh., Rosemarie Germovsek and her husband of Joe of Strabane, Pa., Christine Kasprzak and her husband Eddie of Weirton, W>V>, Mary Smith of Martins Ferry, Ohio, one brother, Louis Wrkich and his wife Barbara of Steubenville,Ohio,Two sisters-in-law, Kate Wrkich of Mingo Jct., Ohio and Rosemary Wrkich of Louisiana, also 15 nieces and nephews.He was a Catholic by faith, a veteran of the US Navy of the Korean War, and a retiree of Titanium Metals Corporation, Toronto, Ohio. He was a member of theAmerican Legion, Toronto, Ohio.Friends will be received Sunday from 4-9 PM at the JE Foster Funeral Home 107 Hill Street, Smithfield, Ohio where services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM.Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery, Mingo Jct., Ohio . Rev. William Brown will officiate.Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
